On Sunday, January 14, 2024, Ehsan Charity took a proactive step towards community well-being by organizing a free medical and diabetic camp along the Khadim Solangi Ghot Super Highway in Karachi. The event was a resounding success, with a remarkable turnout of over 437 patients seeking medical attention. Among them, 12 individuals were identified as diabetic, and they were provided with glucometers and strips for a year, enabling them to monitor their blood sugar levels on a weekly basis. The dedicated staff not only distributed these vital tools but also conducted thorough training sessions to ensure patients understood how to use the meters effectively.
In addition to addressing diabetic concerns, the camp extended its services to 272 eye patients, offering crucial eye tests. The event's success was undoubtedly a collective effort, with a commendable list of volunteers contributing their time and expertise. The volunteers, including Saad Ahmed, Mushtaq Qureshi, Qari Jalil, Iqbal Khan, Abdul Wasy, Dr. Razaq (General Physician), Dr. Madiha, Ashraf Sahab, and PS Member Rana Wahed, worked tirelessly to make this initiative a beacon of hope for those in need. Special appreciation goes to Abid Ali for his noteworthy contribution. Ehsan Charity's commitment to community welfare shines through such endeavors, fostering a sense of health and well-being among those who need it most.
